Sports abound this summer — baseball, the World Cup, Tour de France. The University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Sports Medicine’s three-day workshop in athletic training will give high-schoolers an opportunity to peer behind the scenes of the world of sports. The hands-on session, to be held July 29-31 at The Ellis School, will help to prepare students hoping to pursue careers in sports medicine.
The workshop costs $55; call UPMC Center for Sports Medicine at 412/432-3770 to register by July 8.

The Washington Center recognizes Robert Morris University
Schools that provide students with proper resources for obtaining internships and practical experience boost graduate success. The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars named RMU the 2014 Academic Seminar University of the Year for doing just that. An example of RMU’s commitment to on-the-ground experience: Hours after the U.S. government filed cyber espionage charges against China, 20 RMU cyber forensics and information security majors were asking questions at the embassy.
