The holidays are serious business at Outside Inspirations.
As has become the tradition, the Pine Township-based home décor and lifestyle store will close Oct. 25 for a week in order to prepare the store for the holidays.
When it reopens on Nov. 1, it will be with a daylong party.
The festivities begin at 10 a.m. and include cookies and other goodies. At 6 p.m., the event turns into a cocktail party.
Tim Hollihan, who co-owns the store with his sister, Barbara Hollihan, says this year’s theme is “Home for the Holidays.”
“We are doing décor themes based on the rooms of the home,” he says.
The “Dining Room” will include a collection of soft golds, ivories and pastels, he says.
The “Library” will have a woodsy feel and include items in plaid, deep jewel tones and fur. There also will be pet-themed ornaments, Hollihan says.
While the “Family Room” will feature more traditional décor items in red and green, the “Conservatory” hosts a wintery collection of white, silver and gray items, including decorative snowflakes.
There’s also a “Kitchen” with pastel items and a fun “Kids” room with bright blue, red and silver décor.
New this year is Outside Inspirations’ lines of clothing. Hollihan says the store has begun carrying several brands, including Tyler Boe, Yala and Luii, that also make great gifts.
