Looking for a studio space to dedicate more time to artistic pursuits? Brewhouse Association’s Distillery Emerging Artist Residency program is accepting applications through March 26.

As part of the year-long residency program, which runs through June 25, 2022, artists will have access to a subsidized studio space at the Brew House on Pittsburgh’s South Side. There also will be professional development workshops as well as an exhibition opportunity toward the end of the program.

Artists will get a chance to work with mentors and learn how to effectively compile a portfolio of their work. They also will learn marketing and grant proposal writing skills.

A refundable $100 security deposit is due when an artist moves into the 250 square foot studio space. There also is a $100 monthly fee.

Seven artists will be chosen for the program. Artists are responsible for providing their own equipment and a $300 stipend is available to artists after completion of the program. Distillery also offers scholarship opportunities.

When submitting the application, artists should include samples of their work, a resume with relevant experience and two professional references. There are also four short questions for artists to describe how the Distillery program would benefit their career.

The application can be found here
