As couples increasingly are inspired by Pinterest to plan their weddings, sparkler send-off pictures are gaining momentum.
Lyndsay Petruny, who married Justin Bersuder in a church ceremony on Oct. 6 and held an outdoor ceremony and reception the next day at Shady Elms Farm, says she found photos of other couples who exited the venue surrounded by friends and family holding sparklers, and she wanted to do it, too.
“I wasn’t anticipating how fun it would be,” she says.
As Lyndsay and Justin’s guests gathered around with sparklers in hand, the couple ran up and down the exit multiple times as the guests chanted, “One more time.”
“I think it’s a fun way for everyone to end the evening,” says Lyndsay.
Here are more Pittsburgh couples who left the party in style.
