Nicole Rosemarie Tardio and Justin Mark Pifer
The event included personal touches galore—photos of the couple at significant local places served as table names, earrings and candy came directly from Italy via the bride’s father, and everyone joined in to dance the Tarantella—a longstanding Tardio family tradition.

Ceremony and Reception
Nicole and Justin were united in a Catholic ceremony by Father David Driesch at Our Lady of Joy—(2000 O’Block Road, Plum Borough; 412/795-3388, ourladyofjoy.org). They headed to the Sheraton Station Square (300 West Station Square Drive, Station Square; 412/261-2000, starwoodhotels.com) to celebrate their new status as husband and wife with family and friends. The event included personal touches galore—photos of the couple at significant local places served as table names, earrings and candy came directly from Italy via the bride’s father, and everyone joined in to dance the Tarantella—a longstanding Tardio family tradition.
Flowers
Ken Milko at Flowers in the Attic (7505 Saltsburg Road, Penn Hills; 412/798-2200, flowersintheattic.com) was up to the challenge of creating flowers using all white. His brilliant design made the room look amazing. He also offered suggestions to help the bride honor family members who weren’t present—he included her grandmother’s rosary and her grandfather’s St. Christopher medal in her bouquet, providing a connection that the bride will always treasure.

On the Bride
Nicole wore a mermaid-style, silk gown designed by Justin Alexander from The Exquisite Bride (4353 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville; 724/327-4337, theexquisitebride.com).
On the Groom
Justin’s classic tux (along with tuxes for the rest of the wedding party) came from Jack's Tuxedo (multiple locations, jackstuxedo.com).
Cake
Bethel Bakery created the couple’s traditional cake—white with raspberry filling (5200 Brightwood Road, Bethel Park; 412/835-6658, bethelbakery.com)—but they skipped the traditional cookie table. Instead, they sent each guest home with two biscottis from La Peri Dolci—a nod to Nicole’s Italian heritage (6233 Saltsburg Road, Verona; 412/798-2289, la-peri-dolci.com).
Music
Singer and pianist Judi Figel (412/916-1739, judifigel.com) provided music for the cocktail hour while DJ John Wiggins of FlipSide DJ’s (412/841-5449, flipsidedjs.net) did such an outstanding job, the guests refused to let him leave—demanding more music and more fun.
