Lyft is making it easier for users to split payments among friends. To divide the cost of the ride, Lyft users can choose “split payment” under ride options on the Lyft app, the Pittsburgh Business Times reports.
Everyone invited to share the cost of the ride is then sent a text message asking them to agree to the arrangement.
Up to five riders can split the bill.
Earlier this month, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission granted Lyft a conditional license to operate in Allegheny County and throughout the state.
