Ceremony & Reception
Maggie and Dustin were married by the couple’s pastor, the Rev. Jay Slocum, at Springwood Conference Center (1000 Indiana Road, Penn Hills; 412/793-7453, springwood.org). The reception also was held there, where guests enjoyed the site’s gardens and natural beauty. The Springwood’s staff event planner, Laila Moore, helped the couple plan the perfect event. Chef David Hill cooked up a spectacular Italian buffet meal.
Flowers
The Springwood’s floral designer, Joan Jensen, took inspiration from Dustin’s military uniform to create blue and yellow aisle markers for the ceremony and reception centerpieces. The bride carried a bouquet of pink roses and peonies.
