Pittsburgh fans of Le Creuset will soon no longer have to travel far to purchase premium cookware direct from the brand.

A Le Creuset store opens its doors Friday, Oct. 19 at The Block Northway shopping mall in Ross Township. While there is an outlet store in Grove City, this is the first Le Creuset store in the Pittsburgh region.

“From colorful enameled cast iron, to stainless steel cookware, to kitchen and wine tools, our store will be invaluable for those who love to cook, entertain, and give great gifts. We’re excited to be joining The Block Northway and look forward to supplying kitchens in the area with color and joy for years to come,” says Diane Foster, vice president retail for Le Creuset in a press release.

The French cookware brand has been in existence since 1925. The company is best known for its Dutch ovens, which start at $130 but come with a lifetime guarantee.

The 1,785-square-foot store is on the lower level of the shopping mall. Regular store hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

A weeklong grand opening celebration takes place Friday, Oct. 19 through Sunday, Oct. 28. Special savings will be available with any purchase, and customers will have the opportunity to register to win a Le Creuset Dutch oven. Cooking demonstrations also will take place at the opening events.
