Ceremony:
The big day started at St. Bonaventure Church (2001 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw; 412/486-2606, stbonaventureparish.org), where Lauren and Nick were married during a Catholic ceremony that was officiated by Father John Sweeney.

Wedding Planner:
The bride’s mother doubled as her wedding planner (Donna O’Donnell of Lauren Marie Weddings; 412/559-4921, laurenmarieweddings.com) and made her mark on this grand occasion.

Flowers:
The bride's mom also hand-created satin roses, then pinned family members’ broaches to each, creating an heirloom bouquet for Lauren.  Hearts and Flowers (4960 William Flynn Highway, Allison Park; 724/444-8828, heartsandflowersfloral.com) used white hydrangeas to create more centerpieces, ceremony pieces and flowers for the wedding party.

On the Bride:
Lauren started out in a Maggie Sottero A-line gown with sweetheart neckline and corset closure (The Exquisite Bride, 5349 William Flynn Highway, Gibsonia; 724/443-0400, theexquisitebride.com), then changed into a beaded dress from David’s Bridal (multiple locations; 877/923-2743, davidsbridal.com).

Reception:
The couple and their loved ones celebrated during a reception at the LeMont (1114 Grandview Ave., Mt. Washington; 412/431-3100, lemontpittsburgh.com).  Guests were impressed with the view of the city and the amazing food. Dinner included filet mignon and chicken. To refuel, tired dancers sipped tasty milkshakes and snacked on mini hamburgers later in the evening.

Cake:
Bethel Bakery (5200 Brightwood Road, Bethel Park; 412/835-6658, bethelbakery.com) went above and beyond, whipping up a two-tiered cake to cut during the reception and individual mini wedding cakes for each guest to take home. The vanilla cakes were wrapped in clear boxes and set at each person’s plate.

Music:
Easygoing and always aiming to please, PJ the DJ kept the party going with great music all night long  (via Entertainment Unlimited, 412/343-7700, entertainmentunlimited.com).
