Kaitlin Kinney Aiello & Shaun Robert McCusker

Mary and Dr. Frank Aiello; Mary and Robert McCusker

Katie and Shaun recited their vows in front of 220 friends and relatives. The outdoor ceremony was held at Seven Springs Resort (777 Waterwheel Drive, Seven Springs; 814/352-7777, 7springs.com) and was performed by Dr. Dan Hickey, a family friend of the groom.

Bloomin’ Genius (212 Outlet Way, Greensburg; 724/832-8322, bloomingenius.com) designed Katie’s arrangement of purple hydrangeas with rhinestone brooch accents. Experts from Bloomin’ Genius also created centerpieces for the reception, using silver branches, purple hydrangeas and hanging crystals.

Rachel Rowland Photography (rachelrowland.com) photographed the ceremony and reception.

Katie wore a stunning strapless gown with a feathered and ruffled skirt and beaded bodice by Ysa Makino (Anne Gregory for the Bride: 2975 W. Liberty Ave., Dormont; 412/531-3160, annegregorybrides.com). Silver jewelry from Nordstrom (nordstrom.com) and Morgantown’s Joyce’s Jewlers (joyces-jewelry.com), along with a crystal and pearl hairpiece from Clarissa Boutique (1700 E. Carson St., South Side; 412/432-3299, clarissaboutique.com) added to her ensemble.

It makes sense that Katie's hair and makeup were done by the folks at Bella Amici (9743 Route 30, Irwin; 724/863-2441, bellaamicisalon.org); after all, she owns the salon. Bella Amici provided the clean and classic — yet trendy — look she wanted.

Shaun looked dashing in a black tuxedo with a charcoal vest and tie from Jack’s Tuxedo (4073 William Penn Highway, Monroeville; 412/373-3087, jackstuxedo.com).

Illuminated with purple lighting by Michael Mull (Katie’s brother-in-law, a Hollywood lighting designer), the Seven Springs’ Grand Ballroom was the perfect site for the newlyweds’ fabulous affair. For decorations, the bride’s sister, Rori, created a layout that included hanging Chinese lanterns. For dinner, guests chose from beef tenderloin, pesto salmon filet and chicken asiago (or the go-to alternative requested by the bride’s Italian family — pasta), all of which came with a vegetable and starch.

At night, guests were treated to a rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “L-O-V-E”, choreographed by Katie and performed by her parents — with a special guest appearance by Katie, as she sang to her new husband. Katie's sister, Rori, even sang Fleetwood Mac's "Songbird" for the father-daughter dance.

Seven Springs event coordinator Kisa Valenti led the bride and groom in the right direction.

Seven Springs’ Bakery supplied four tiers of white cake with chocolate-mousse filling, rhinestone decor and a monogram cake topper.

DJ Jammin’ Jason (jamminjason.com) played an upbeat mix of ’80s hits and pop favorites.
