Just-Released Trailer: Pittsburgh-Shot 'Fathers and Daughters'
The cast includes Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Aaron Paul, Diane Kruger and Jane Fonda.
Maybe “Southpaw” wasn’t the critical smash we were hoping for, but it looks like Pittsburgh has another chance to be featured in an Oscar-contending flick.
The first trailer for the Gabriele Muccino-directed drama “Fathers and Daughters” released over the weekend, a little more than a year after it was filmed in several Pittsburgh locales. The clip highlights Russell Crowe — who portrays a mentally unsound Pulitzer Prize-winner — and his daughter, played by Amanda Seyfried. The cast is rounded out by “Breaking Bad” alum Aaron Paul, as well as Diane Kruger and Jane Fonda.
“Fathers and Daughters” is slated for a fall release. What do you think — will the Academy take the bait?
