FAMILY
Beverly and George Jones; Frank and Carita Ferguson
CEREMONY
Jessica and Frank were honored to be the first couple married by the Rev. Barry O’Leary, a newly ordained priest, at St. Bernard Church (311 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon; 412/561-3300, stbernardchurch.com).
FLOWERS
Elizabeth Holmgren of The Botanical Emporium (1685 McFarland Road, Mount Lebanon; 412/563-7008, botanicalemporium.com) created amazing bouquets using gardenias and stephanotis. She also created centerpieces using long-stemmed calla lilies up-lit by battery-powered lights for a dramatic look. Jessica chose cupcakes instead of a wedding cake, and her florist adorned each one with edible orchids.

ON THE BRIDE
Jessica purchased her gown and cathedral-length veil at MB Bride & Special Occasion (123 S. Urania Ave., Greensburg; 724/836-6626, mbbride.com). For her "something blue," she wore shoes dyed the same blue hue as her bridesmaids’ gowns.
ON THE GROOM
Frank chose a Calvin Michaels Ashton three-button tux with white Windsor tie (Tuxedo Junction, South Hills Village Mall, Bethel Park; 412/854-1444, tuxedojunction.com)
RECEPTION
The site for the post-nuptial celebration was the newly renovated Holiday Inn Washington-Meadow Lands (340 Racetrack Road, South Strabane; 724/222-6200). The cocktail hour kicked off poolside. Around 250 guests continued the celebration indoors, where handwritten notes from the bride greeted each guest at his or her table.
CAKE
In lieu of a traditional cake, the couple opted for a cupcake tree and a small cake created by Krency’s Bakery (990 Jefferson Ave., Washington; 724/222-6690).
MUSIC
The cocktail hour featured steel-drum player Jake Cummings (724/989-5439), and the reception rocked with disc jockey Tom Weber (A3D Sound Productions; a3dsound.com).
