Moms and brunch go awfully well together, as does shopping with mom.

If you’re looking for an event that combines both, you’re in luck. Now in its fourth season, the popular Neighborhood Flea returns in full swing this weekend with a special Mother’s Day edition.

Held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot on the corner of 23rd and Penn Avenue in Strip District on the second Sunday of each month through October, the pop-up urban marketplace features a mix of vintage-clothing collections, handmade works, artist prints, housewares, flowers, farm goods and more from regional sellers.

Vendors at Sunday’s event include Sewickley-based home décor store House15143, 1820 House Candle Co., Black Walnut Woodworking, Corner Alchemy Apothecary and Champaign Paper — and that’s just to name a few.

If mom or the kids (this is a family-friendly event) is a picky eater, no worries either. More than a dozen food and drink trucks will be in attendance at the event, among them the Mac and Gold truck, Randita’s Vegan Café and piebird.

Depending on if she’s in need of caffeine or a drink (or both — it’s her day), the Zeke’s Coffee or Wigle Whiskey trucks also may be popular choices for mom.

In addition, there are several hands-on workshops taking place during the event that will result in cool products for the home and garden.

Pisarcik Greenhouses and Flower Farm is hosting a succulent planter workshop at 1 p.m. (the cost to attend is $40 and includes all materials and tools) while Pop Craft will lead participants in creating block-print patterns on bags and tea towels (cost is $35) at 11 a.m.

Farm and Forest also will host a workshop at 2 p.m. on creating fairy gardens (cost is $35 and includes all materials).
