If you’re looking for one-of-a-kind, locally made goods for your home — or for your love on Valentine’s Day — stop by Pittsburgh’s The South Side this weekend.

The popular I Made It! Market takes place from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the former Joseph Beth Booksellers at the SouthSide Works complex.

The nomadic pop-up marketplace features items handmade by local artisans. This year’s event houses 65 crafters offering everything from chocolates, cookies, canned jams and jellies to hand-knits, plush, jewelry, Valentine's Day cards, organic bath and body products, men's and women's accessories and more.

The event is family friendly, so feel free to bring the kids. Hatch Art Studio also will be on hand at the marketplace with crafts for little ones.

Beautiful Boutique’s Birthday

Beautiful Boutique on Brilliant in Aspinwall is turning 2 — and that means it’s time for a celebration.

An anniversary party takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the store. The event will feature wine, snacks, raffles and sales. There also will be new merchandise.

Owned by Melanie Baker-Telford, Beautiful Boutique is a “lifestyle” shop selling furniture, lighting and other décor, plus jewelry, handbags and gifts. Also popular at the store is Butters, Baker-Telford’s genial bulldog who often accompanies her to the store.
