A plethora of events are taking place in the coming weeks to get you out of the house — to buy things for, or at least explore, houses.

On Tuesday, the Green Building Alliance hosts a Green Building Kayak Tour from 6 to 8 p.m.

The jaunt along the Allegheny River, led by GBA staff, will explore Pittsburgh’s green buildings from an unusual, watery, vantage point.

If this is your first time kayaking, don’t worry. The paddle north from under the Roberto Clemente Bridge is along flat water and in easy-to-steer, stable boats. No rapids!

Participants will have the opportunity to mingle with GBA’s Emerging Professionals and other members. If you can’t make it to Tuesday’s event, GBA is hosting a second Green Building Kayak Tour from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 16.
