Give Big Pittsburgh Returns for its Second Year Today

There’s no such thing as a bad time to give back, but some days are better than others.

Give Big Pittsburgh is a one-day charitable giving extravaganza, and it's happening today! Give Big falls on Giving Tuesday, a nationally recognized response to the holiday spending done on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. More than 400 Pittsburgh-area nonprofits are registered and ready to receive your donations. Give where your heart lives. 

Last year nearly 7,000 people, most of them based in Pittsburgh, donated $1.3 million on Giving Tuesday alone.

This year Pittsburgh Magazine is partnering with the Pittsburgh Foundation and GiveGab, an online donation platform, to crowdfund even more money for Pittsburgh nonprofits. The giving began at midnight, and the registered nonprofits will compete with one another to win prizes such as Early Bird Donor — the nonprofit that receives the first donation of the day, Most Unique Donors or Most Money Raised.
