These aren't your father's shoes, but the modern (i.e. stylish) dad in your life may like a pair for his big day in June.

Brush by Ben Smith creations are one-of-a-kind. A Pittsburgh resident, Smith works with clients to create bespoke, hand-painted shoes (prices start at $700) — and major fashion labels are starting to take note.

Smith recently collaborated with Kenneth Cole on a limited-edition “Voter” sneaker collection for the label’s partnership with Rock the Vote, as well as a Kenneth Cole collection for World Aids Day in December. More collaborations are in the works, Smith says.

Thinking of customizing your shoes? Depending on the design and schedule, Smith says the painting process can take four to six weeks to complete.
