Fireworks are Back for the 4th: Where and When You Can See Them

After a year lost to the pandemic, a number of communities – including the city of Pittsburgh – will have fireworks over the Independence Day holiday weekend.

Pittsburgh’s July 4 celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. at Point State Park with a family-style picnic, including food vendors and patriotic music. The fireworks show begins at dusk.

If you’re not heading to the city, here’s a look at where you can catch fireworks displays across the region.

Allegheny County

  • Brentwood: Brentwood Park at 9:30 p.m. (July 4)
  • Carnegie: Carnegie Park at sunset (July 3)
  • Crafton: Crafton Park at 7 p.m. (July 4)
  • Findlay Township: Recreation and Sports Complex at 9:30 p.m. (July 3)
  • Lawrenceville: Arsenal Park (the first Saturday after July 4)
  • Monroeville: Monroeville Mall Annex at 9:30 p.m. (July 4)
  • Moon Township: Moon Park at 10 p.m. (July 4)
  • Mt. Lebanon: Mt. Lebanon Main Park at 9:30 p.m. (July 4) (Rain date: July 5 at 9:30 p.m.)
