High school students interested in multimedia storytelling, education or sports, arts and entertainment management can gain hands-on experience in those fields this summer at Point Park University.

From July 17-20, the university will host three separate summer workshops: “Interactive Multimedia Storytelling,” “Becoming a Teacher” and “Sports, Arts and Entertainment Management.”

Students who participate in “Interactive Multimedia Storytelling,” will learn about writing, video, audio, web, photography and social media. Each participant will conduct interviews, write stories and more. “Becoming a Teacher” will focus on creating lesson plans, teaching others attending the workshop and demonstrating learned presentation skills. The students will also take trips and hear from education professors from the university. The SAEM workshop includes a tour of Stage AE, a visit to iHeartRadio and much more.

The registration deadline is July 1. Each workshop costs $150 and a limited number of scholarships are available to attend. More information can be found here.
