#History: America’s first drive-in gas station turns 100

America’s first drive-in gas station opened exactly 100 years ago to the day … yesterday (sorry, we were busy watching football and nursing a turkey hangover). The Gulf Refining Co. service station set up shop on Baum Boulevard and St. Clair Street on December 1, 2013, about five miles away from downtown.

Price of gas on opening day? 27 cents per gallon.

#Charity: Let’s stuff some school buses with toys

Help Mikey and Big Bob of 96.1 KISS-FM fill school buses during their annual Stuff-a-Bus toy drive. Bring new, unused, unwrapped gifts for area kids to the drop-off area in the Monroeville Mall parking lot. You can drop off donations all day, Monday-Friday.

Also, Berger & Green will donate $1 to the Stuff-a-Bus drive for every Facebook “Like” they receive between now and Friday.
