Cross It Off Your Pittsburgh Bucket List

Just for yinz, Romeo Delivers, Inc. creates a bucket that contains 25 must-do adventures around the ‘Burgh.

Ever since "The Bucket List," starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, came out in 2007 — maybe even before that — people have been crossing items off their personal bucket list.

If you’re not familiar with the term, a bucket list is a catalogue of all the things you want to achieve or experience before you, uh, kick the bucket.

Romeo Delivers, Inc., founded by Pittsburgh resident Anne Lopez, takes the bucket list a step further by creating an actual bucket full of fun adventures.

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Fine Arts, Lopez says she wanted to use her creativity as a way to make people happy. In 2013, she did just that by launching Romeo Delivers, which designs and manufactures gifts and positive greetings.

Each of her Official Bucket List buckets [$18 each] — which include the Bride-to-Be bucket, the Date bucket and the Baby on the Way bucket — contain 25 fun and practical “must-dos” leading to an adventure. The buckets also contain a pencil and 25 wooden “to-do” sticks with instructions on them. Upon completion of each “must do” stick, there’s room for you to add the date.

Of course, our favorite bucket is the Pittsburgh Bucket List, which contains 25 things to do and see around the city.

Gifted Hands owner Shelley Hoare, who carries Romeo Delivers at her store’s two locations, says the Pittsburgh Bucket is a top seller, followed by the Date Bucket.

It sounds like either bucket would make for an interesting first (or anytime) date. Who’s up for an adventure?
