Celebrate Spring with a Beer and Mud on the Mountain

What to do when the snow is gone at Seven Springs? The ski resort has a list of activities and events to help you swing into spring.

Celebrate the warmer weather the right way — with a selection of specialty and craft beers from breweries across the United States. On April 26 and 27, the 18th annual Brewski Festival at Seven Springs allows revelers to sample over 100 beers from more than 50 breweries.

Are you tough as nails? Are you able to scale boulders and trudge through mud? If so, you should sign up for Mud on the Mountain — a seven-mile mud run across challenging terrain. On May 11, runners will get down and dirty as they traverse ponds, climb over obstacles and claw up inclines on their way to the finish line. Bring a change of clothes.

For a weekend-long party, book a room and celebrate your Memorial Day weekend on the mountain. From Friday, May 24, through Monday, May 27, Seven Springs will celebrate the unofficial start of summer with live music, fireworks and family fun.

For junior athletes, Seven Springs will offer Kids Mud on the Mountain during the day on May 25. A scaled-down version of the adult mud run, the course shares many of the same obstacles, some scaled down versions of others and some new features. Bring two changes of clothes.

That evening, head to the Country Legends Tribute Tour, a show featuring the music of some of the biggest names and best-loved country music artists — The Zac Brown Band, Garth Brooks and Shania Twain. The tour features look-a-like, sound-a-like tribute performers and a band of stellar musicians. Each artist will perform a string of hits from the legendary superstars, complete with authentic costumes, during two 60-minute sets. Finish off the evening with a grand finale performance and Zambelli fireworks.
