The ballroom at the Doubletree Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh City Center was buzzing with conversation on Thursday, Feb. 3 when more than 100 business women gathered to recognize the achievements of Pittsburgh magazine’s Spotlight on Women in Business February honorees.

40 Under 40: 2010 Party Pix

On Fri., Nov. 12, PNC Bank presented the 12th Annual 40 Under 40, a celebration of Imagination at play, hosted by PITTSBURGH MAGAZINE and Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP). Forty Under Forty recognizes 40 talented individuals under the age of 40 who are making a positive impact on the region's development.

Art on Fire 10

On Oct. 15, the winners of the first Martini Glass Design Competition were announced by WQED’s Rick Sebak at Art on Fire 10—five months after Pittsburgh Glass Center, Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka and Pittsburgh magazine launched the redesign contest. The event was held at the Pittsburgh Glass Center, which kicked off its 10th birthday celebration that evening.

Best of the 'Burgh Party 2010

On Thurs., Sept. 16, Pittsburgh magazine’s Best of the ’Burgh party set sail on the rivers. This year’s sold-out event, held on the Gateway Clipper Majestic, was open to the public; so, Best Of winners were joined by other ’Burghers, and all guests were able to enjoy the delicious food, drinks and dessert. KISS FM’s DJ Tall Cathy and WDVE’s Jim Krenn emceed and announced the winners. “Best Local Dance” Bodiography Contemporary Dance Co., “Best Band” 28 North and “Best Local Comedian” Gab Bonesso performed at the event, sponsored by First Commonwealth Bank, Subaru, Gateway Clipper Fleet, Mt. Lebanon Office Equipment, Sheraton Station Square, ShowClix and the Cotton Factory.
