BRGR Bar Joins the Food Truck Movement
We've all been tracking the food-truck progress the last few months. Each week, either a new business (like Pgh Pierogi Truck) enters the fold or another event (like Tapped) comes onto the scene. It has been exciting, to say the least.
When Eat Street discovered that local burger spot BRGR Bar, one of Chef of the Year Brian Pekarcik's joints, was also offering its signature creations on the go, we became even more interested (and excited, naturally). The BRGR truck, which had its debut at Little Italy Days, parks downtown Monday through Friday, serving up its sizzling burgers alongside sweet shakes. (For one, it has changed downtown workers' lunch plans — because who can resist that?). Then it rolls on over to the Strip for a while on Saturday, feeding the hungry market visitors.
Craving a Kobe beef patty this very minute? Make tracks to Grant Street right now — there's still time!

Crested Duck Charcuterie Needs Your Help to Add Sunday Brunch
Foodies around town will gladly tell you about their love for Crested Duck Charcuterie, a Beechview deli that also sets up shop inside the Pittsburgh Public Market. Seasoned duck sticks (so tasty!), hickory bacon and various salts are just some of the items offered at its PPM booth; inside the shop, locals keep coming back for the grilled cheese, soups and expertly planned dishes (braised short ribs, anyone?).
But Crested Duck's ambitious owners don't want to stop there. Plans to become USDA certified and add Sunday brunch are under way — but they need your help. Now through Oct. 22, the folks at Crested Duck are relying on 'Burghers' kindness to fully fund their Kickstarter campaign.
What's in it for you? Well, they've put together some nice packages for donors of all levels. But the sweetest perk of all will be sitting in the slightly expanded Beechview site on a lazy Sunday eating a killer brunch — right?
