August in December

Fashion designers Diana Misetic, Kiya Tomlin, Nami Ogawa and jewelry designer Caesar Azzam show the latest looks for holiday at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture.

'Tis the season for cocktail parties, galas and seasonal gatherings–and the August Wilson Center for African American Culture is one of Pittsburgh’s places to be and be seen. A world-class cultural center, the 65,000-square-foot complex is a spectacular event venue engaging regional and national audiences in its mission of preserving and celebrating the art, culture and history of African Americans from western Pennsylvania. Named after Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and Hill District native August Wilson, the center presents year-round programming, including music, dance, theater, visual arts and exhibitions.
