ON THE GROOM
Mathew wore a black Jean Yves tuxedo accented with a lavender vest from American Commodore Tuxedo (Eastwood Mall, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles, OH; 330/544-2889, actux.com).
Guests enjoyed American and Indian cuisine in the Tuscany Room at Green Gables Restaurant and were treated to traditional Indian wedding customs. The mother and sisters of the groom dressed the bride in a bridal sari, gold jewels and purple bangles. Also during the reception, friends of the couple performed a traditional Indian dance.
Little Lisa’s Pastry Shoppe (1176 Kennedy Drive, Latrobe; 724/532-0566) created a square, four-tiered French-Vanilla cake with raspberry filling and chocolate- ganache icing. The cake was decorated with champagne grapes and sprigs of gladiolus from the site of the ceremony.
To make the reception more personal, the couple created their own iPod playlist, complete with American and Indian hip-hop songs, ’80s tunes and a surprise dance by the couple to Outkast’s "The Way You Move."
