Here’s something that will make Mama proud: Amazon ranked Pittsburgh the nation’s 12th best-read city. The colossal book-selling website has put out this list for four consecutive years; it rated Alexandria, Va. — which is celebrating its third annual victory — as America’s most well-read city.

Based on the analysis of sales data between April 2013 and April 2014, Amazon compiled a list of cities that encompass 100,000 residents who purchased the most reading material in both Kindle and print formats.

Penguins out. Pirates floundering. Time to finally finish "Game of Thrones."
