Do you want eggrolls with that?

Recognizing that not everyone celebrates Christmas, Row House Cinema in Lawrenceville is partnering with local Chinese restaurants to offer patrons something different on a day when entertainment options are limited.

At the concession stand, in addition to popcorn, craft beer, local pretzels and vegan options, customers can order Chinese food. When the order arrives, it will be delivered to your seat while you are watching your movie.

“Our staff comes from various cultural backgrounds, and we wanted to embrace different Christmas traditions, including the Jewish way of celebrating the holiday,” explains owner Brian Mendelssohn.

Although the food isn’t traditional Christmas fare, the movie schedule is:

"Christmas Vacation" showtimes: Noon & 7 p.m.

"Die Hard" showtime: 2:05 p.m.

Did I just hear you say, "’Die Hard’ isn't a Christmas movie?" The theater contends that “it's all of your favorite Christmas movies rolled into one.”

"Home Alone" showtime: 4:50 p.m.

"Elf" showtime: 9:20 p.m.

#Props: Meat & Potatoes named of the Best Gastropubs in the U.S.

Of all of the dining trends, the gastropub may be one of the most enduring. Comfort food done right continues to be in high demand. Favorite Pittsburgh spot Meat & Potatoes, one of our 2014 Best Restaurants, was one of the original gastropubs. Food & Wine acknowledges the downtown hot spot as one of the Best Gastropubs in the U.S. for its brew selections and "thoughtful but casual fare."

#Travel: Pittsburgh called a “destination to visit in 2015”

We're used to this by now: Pittsburgh received more kudos from a media outlet — this time from Imbibe. The revered drinks publication recommends that others make Pittsburgh a must-stop in the New Year. Among the reasons: our booming beer scene, charming cocktail spots and top-of-the-line coffee shops.

#Food: The Pretzel Shop crafts a holiday-inspired pretzel

The South Side mainstay has made the perfect snack for the Grinches and folks with a good sense of humor. As with their other creations, we predict this won’t be in stock for long.
