CEREMONY
After falling in love with its gorgeous architecture and breathtaking stained-glass windows, Alison and A.J. knew that the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church (57 21st St., Strip District; 412/471-4767, saintsinthestrip.org) would be the perfect site for their ceremony. On their wedding day, Father Harry Nichols performed an abbreviated Catholic mass, and organist Zachary Legas provided musical accompaniment.

FLOWERS
Kerry Kennedy of KS Kennedy Distinctive Floral (848 Western Ave., North Side; 412/322-7673, kskennedy.bravehost.com) created a subtle blend of ivory and yellow roses for Alison’s bridal bouquet. At the bride's request, he also placed peonies and hydrangeas in the reception centerpieces, arranging vases that incorporated both flowers in shades of purple and magenta.

PHOTOGRAPHER
Rachel Tokarski (412/952-8571, racheltokarski.com) photographed Alison and A.J.’s big day.

ON THE BRIDE
Alison wore a fitted satin gown with a beaded bodice and corseted back from Allure’s Allure Couture line (One Enchanted Evening: 11269 Perry Highway, Wexford; 724/934-4330, oneenchantedeveningonline.com). She wore her bridesmaid Jamie Shouldis’ purple Christian Louboutin sling-backs as her “something borrowed,” and she wore a veil with a blusher (davidsbridal.com) so her father could perform the traditional unveiling at the ceremony. As a finishing touch, Alison added a moon-shaped hair comb with pearls from Etsy.

HAIR AND MAKEUP
Alison’s makeup was done by Alison Roth of Allison Roth Studio (33 Terminal Way, South Side; 412/427-8078, allisonrothstudio.com), and Kayla of Pretty Hair Salon (451 Browns Lane, Ross Twp.; 412/369-5155, prettyinpittsburgh.com) did her hair.

ON THE GROOM
A.J. wore a Calvin Klein tuxedo with an ivory vest and tie from Men’s Wearhouse (menswearhouse.com).

CAKE
The newlyweds and their guests loved the four-tiered white wedding cake with raspberry filling designed by Carol’s Cakes, a home-based bakery that has been in service for 20-plus years (3403 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa; 724/728-5595, carolscakes.net).

RECEPTION
The newlyweds welcomed 200 of their friends and relatives to the Great Hall, a refurbished church in Perrysville (1003 Perry Highway; 412/366-2610, thegreathall.com). To make sure the event matched her vision of sophisticated glamour, Alison coordinated many of the reception’s decorations, including satin table linens and chair bows from Sister Seats (weddingwire.com), scattered tea-light candles, and a beautiful crystal tree created by Shannon Lown, Alison’s best friend and matron of honor. Before guests headed to the dance floor, they dined on bourbon-glazed beef sirloin and chicken Zinfandel provided by Erin’s Fine Foods (8340 Perry Highway, Wexford; 412/366-5095, erinsfinefoods.com).

MUSIC
Alison and A.J. claim they couldn’t have had a better DJ duo than brothers Tim and Dave Waruszewki, the Great Hall’s in-house crew (412/366-2610, greathall.com/dj).
