Adoptable & Adorable: Pittsburgh Pet of the Week: Peony
This lovely girl would do best in a settled home with older children. Make an appointment to meet her at Animal Friends.
Peony
Breed: Terrier, Pit Bull| Sex: Female
Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 52 pounds |Arrived: Oct. 15, 2019
Peony was rescued by Humane Society Police Officers from a neglectful situation. She is rather timid and fearful of new people, places and situations, but she is working hard with our staff and volunteers to learn trust and confidence. Peony would do best in a settled home with older children and a family who is willing to continue working with her. She would also prefer to be the only dog in the home so you can focus all of your love and attention on her.
Each of our dogs has received a thorough medical examination, is current on all appropriate vaccinations (including rabies) and has been microchipped and spayed or neutered.
Animal Friends is open for adoptions by appointment only, please email our Adoption team at AdoptionInfo@ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org to set up a time to visit.
Please read our adoption guidelines and start your application before coming to meet one of our dogs in person. A typical adoption can take up to an hour. Please visit at least one hour before closing if you plan to adopt that day.
