Adoptable & Adorable: Pittsburgh Pet of the Week: Hershey

Hershey is a lovely older girl with a rather shy and timid personality.

Breed: Dutch | Sex: Female
Age: 2 years | Weight: 4 pounds
Arrived: July 9, 2019

Hershey can get nervous with new surroundings so she’ll need to have access to a cubby or kennel so she can feel safe until she acclimates to her new home. We have been working very closely with Hershey to get her to go into her carrier on her own. Positive reinforcement training like this helps her have choice and control, while building her confidence.

Each of our bunny residents has received a thorough medical examination, microchip and is spayed or neutered.

Animal Friends is located at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, 15237. Hours are Monday-Friday from 11a.m. to 7 p.m., or Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please read our adoption guidelines and start your application before coming to meet one of our animals in person. A typical adoption can take up to an hour. Please visit at least one hour before closing if you plan to adopt that day.
