Owner John Wargo stumbled upon it—half built—while walking along the nearby trail and was so impressed that he immediately placed a cash deposit to make it his home. He finished the residence with an elevator, a gourmet kitchen and a dramatically open first floor—perfect for entertaining or relaxing. (It’s so striking that former mayor Tom Murphy stopped by with out-of-town dignitaries when he wanted to impress them.)
“Every morning, I come down my steps into my living [and] dining room, and every morning, I love where I live,” Wargo says. His business is relocating to Miami, so he’s trading riverfront for the oceanfront. “I think living close to the water is good for your spirit.”
