Sip from the cash bar, grab some complimentary snacks, and get a head start by exploring the museum before the game begins — you might just discover a clue or two that gives you a competitive edge! Doors open at 6 p.m., and trivia begins at 6:30 p.m. Gather a team of up to ten people and get ready for a yinzsplosion of fun.

21+ Nights: Beatlemania
May 8| Kamin Science Center

On May 8, 1970, The Beatles released their very last studio album “Let It Be,” ending their nearly decade long run as a band. Let your Beatle freak out at Kamin Science Center and relive the magic of the 1960s. Folks can explore all five floors of the Science Center kid-free while sipping cocktails and mocktails exclusive to the event. Three hours of Beatles covers will be performed by the local band Beach Boise, ID, and events like pub trivia and speaker talks will keep you engaged all evening. The event runs from 6-10 p.m. and tickets, which can be purchased online until 5 p.m. on May 8, are $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

Migratory Bird Day
May 9 | Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium! You can find songbirds everywhere, from bustling cities to smaller towns and communities. Learn how we can protect our North American songbirds for future generations and participate in fun activities. All ages welcome. Activities include bird-friendly coffee tasting and coffee painting crafts for kids in Kids Kingdom, touch tables, penguin feeding, story time at Safari Amphitheater and a bald eagle feeding with the opportunity to meet the keeper. Tickets are included with Zoo admission and can be purchased online.

Steel City Duck Derby
May 9 | Allegheny Commons Park

The 5th Annual Steel City Duck Derby is a fundraiser for Partners For Quality, a nonprofit that supports nearly 5,000 local individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health challenges. Join us as 10,000 rubber ducks are launched into Lake Elizabeth and race to the finish line with the top five finishers winning cash and other prizes. The Pre-Derby Duck Festival takes place at 11 a.m.  with food trucks, face painting, duck games and music, with the Derby Race starting at 1 p.m. You can adopt rubber ducks online through race day.
