After 13-year-old Jesse Kaufman gave all $5,000 from his bar mitzvah to his friend and classmate, Jasmine Boden, who is fighting a rare, cancerous brain tumor, he said he wanted to continue to raise money for her travel expenses to Boston, where she undergoes treatment.

His efforts got a big boost Friday after the Gateway Middle students from Monroeville appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," along with a surprise guest.
