Ebisu Life to Open a Second Pittsburgh Location
The Japanese lifestyle store will offer Asian snacks, beauty products, household items, anime merchandise and more.
On Nov. 1 2024, Pittsburgh’s first Japanese lifestyle store opened in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood. Two years later, Ebisu Life announced on social media that it would be opening a second Pittsburgh location in Cranberry, almost twice the size of the Squirrel Hill location.
According to the company’s Instagram, the second store will be open at the end of the year, although an exact date is yet to be determined.
Ebisu Life first opened its doors in Osaka, Japan in 2015, selling Japanese and other Asian goods, including snacks, skincare items, blind boxes, stationary, anime merchandise, collectables and toys. The brand has since expanded to the U.S., with more than 20 stores throughout the country.
The new 7,000-square-foot store will offer the same Japanese and Asian products that shoppers love, as well as a claw machine and a gashapon — a Japanese coin-operated vending machine that dispenses collectible toys.
The Cranberry store will be located at 20217 Route 19 Suite 203 in the former Party City storefront. The grand opening will include special promotions and activities, which will be announced on Ebisu’s social media closer to the opening date.
In the meantime, the current Squirrel Hill location is located at 5846 Forbes Ave.
