Which Pittsburgh Celebrities Are Appearing in ‘The Nutcracker?’
Among those making guest appearances are Charlie Batch, Corey O'Connor and the cast of "Dance Moms."
Opening Dec. 5 at the Benedum Center, “The Nutcracker” is a classic way to celebrate the holidays — and to catch a glimpse of some Pittsburgh celebrities.
Presented by Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, the performances will feature an unprecedented number of local celebrities in walk-on roles during the “Party Scene.” Adam W. McKinney, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s artistic director, says this year’s 20 guest stars come from local politics, sports, television news and the cast of “Dance Moms.”
“We absolutely love having local celebrities guest star in our Pittsburgh version of ‘The Nutcracker,’” he says. “We select a variety of guest stars from different fields such that there is interest for all audience members.”
