2025 40 Under 40 Honoree: Diarra Imani Clarke (28)
"I think humans are the worst and best part of humanity, so I like to bet on the best part and keep developing that part."
Diarra Imani Clarke
Founder and CEO, The Mosaic Institute
Diarra Imani Clarke sat down to create her first dialogue workshop when she was 11 years old after feeling uninspired by the job options at a career fair.
Now, as the founder and CEO of The Mosaic Institute, she continues this work, creating programs at the intersection of science and soul, and teaching cultural communications to young adults. As an esteemed poet, writer and musician, Clarke motivates artists who want to reimagine the creative learning experience.
Her community work shares her curriculum with audiences across the region, reaching disadvantaged students and teaching new perspectives. Clarke’s impact stretches globally, as she had the opportunity to study and teach women’s entrepreneurship in Ghana and Taiwan after creating a new major in Women’s Entrepreneurship and Institutional Culture at Chatham University.
Whether mentoring young artists, building community programs or creating poetry, she continues to bet on the best in humanity.
