Photos: The Ferris Wheel Returns to Oktoberfest
Check out these views from the top.
Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership’s Oktobefest is back. So is the Ferris wheel.
This year’s festivities, which continue through Oct. 11, are taking place throughout Downtown, with the Main Stage and Biergarten located in Market Square.
The Ferris wheel remains on the Roberto Clemente Bridge.
During its inaugural year in 2024, 15,000 people took a ride on the Ferris wheel — named after the civil engineer George Ferris, who thought of the idea while living on Pittsburgh’s North Side. Tickets for the approximately 10-minute ride can be purchased online for $7 per person during peak hours and $5 per person during non-peak hours.
Along with the Ferris wheel, there will be carnival games and other attractions on the bridge, openly daily throughout Oktoberfest. You can snag a bundled pass that includes a Ferris wheel ride and 10 game tickets for $13.
