Meet Voter

This adventurous, spunky lady has traded in her stray life for the dream of a perfect home. She first came to Animal Friends in the fall of 2022, and since then, she’s been winning hearts with her big personality and even bigger love for the great outdoors. Whether it’s sunny, rainy, or snowing, you can find Voter enjoying our walking trails, rolling in the grass, and soaking up every moment outside with her favorite humans.

Her love language? Patience, boundaries and plenty of treats. Voter may take a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she’ll happily accept all the ear scratches and belly rubs you can give. She’s also incredibly smart and ready to keep learning with positive reinforcement training in her new home. Voter would like her family members to be 13 or older and prefers not to live with cats or any other animals. She needs all the attention to herself.

Did you know that DOGust 1st is the universal birthday for shelter dogs without known birthdates? Many of our amazing canine residents came to us with stories we may never fully know — but what we do know is that every dog deserves to feel special and celebrated. So why stop at just one day?

All month long, we’re celebrating DOGUST — a month-long birthday bash for our shelter dogs who’ve already celebrated their first birthday. From August 1 through August 31, requested adoption donations are completely waived for all dogs over one year of age.

But the paw-ty doesn’t stop there:

• Shop the Birthday Wish list: Our pups have been making birthday wishes, and you can help them come true!
• Enrichment Every Day: From birthday-themed treats to playful activities, we’re making sure every dog gets the royal treatment this month!
