From basketball to banking, the drive to help others succeed motivates Carmen Bruce.

She currently focuses on corporate responsibility recruiting at PNC, where she’s helped veterans, people of color, members of the LGBTQ community and people with disabilities apply their skills to jobs at the bank.

For a decade prior to starting a fast-track management development program at PNC, Bruce coached NCAA women’s basketball. Now, she’s using what she learned in coaching in recruitment.

“Someone gave me a chance in my career,” she says. “So, I would like to help others who had a similar non-traditional path in financial services. They deserve an opportunity because I was given one.”
