Born and raised in Hawaii, Myah Moore Irick lived all over the country before making Pittsburgh home and founding The Irick Group, a Private Wealth Management team at Merrill-Bank of America.

A former Miss Oregon 2003, Irick used advocacy skills she learned with the Miss Universe Organization to successfully launch her career in wealth management. She also applied her experience with coaching accomplished alumni on their charitable endeavors and leading philanthropic initiatives for prominent universities.

“These unique experiences have provided me with viewpoints and skillsets to interact and empathize with broad groups of individuals, and have certainly played a role in what I have been able to accomplish in wealth management,” she says.

Irick describes her own journey and diverse background as an advantage when it comes to helping guide families; she finds great purpose in the value she adds to people’s lives each day.

“Me and my team are wealth advisors to accomplished executives and business owners with a specialty in supporting those navigating newly created wealth — what we like to call ‘sudden wealth,’” she says. “We help these multi-generational families navigate sophisticated financial needs, whether it be to build, preserve or transfer wealth.”

Irick, a married mother of three young children, acts as a personal private wealth advisor to a select number of families and nonprofits. She also oversees a team she describes as bright, experienced and client focused. As a leader, she strives to be intentional, focused and purpose driven — while always lifting others up.

“My personal goal is to lead with authenticity,” she says. “If you see me out with my family, or if you see me at a community event or in a boardroom, I hope that I would always be described the same way.”

In 2024, Irick was named to the Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-in-State list. Her team was honored as a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Team. Over the last few years, she also has been featured in Barron’s, a leading source on financial news, and served as a speaker at important industry events.

“I am very proud of the public speaking and outreach that I do around financial literacy and empowerment,” she says.

Irick has a passion for serving under-resourced communities, particularly in STEM education, empowerment of women and girls, financial literacy and wellness. She serves on the boards of the Carnegie Science Center, United Way, and Girls, Inc. She also is on the advisory board for The Advanced Leadership Institute, is a member of The Links Incorporated and, alongside her husband, funds several endowed college scholarships at their alma maters.

“I hope that I continue to demonstrate the importance of lifting as you climb,” Irick says.
