REMAX Select Realty, Real Estate Advisor/REALTOR®

The REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh has provided services to protect property rights as well as enhance the professional and ethical conduct of its members since 1911, but only began accepting women board members in 1948. In 1975, the association elected its first female president, and in 2025 it elected its 12th — Michelle Senko.

“With many years of professional work experience, now in my role as president of the REALTORS® Association, I enjoy helping others in the field through mentorship and teaching as well as advocating for the real estate industry,” Senko says. “Creating programs and opportunities for REALTORS® to collaborate with one another, connecting professionals with valuable resources and education is a large part of my mission at the association.”

A Realtor with ReMax Select Realty, Senko — who grew up in the South Hills — has spent more than 18 years in the real estate industry, including residential and commercial sales, aging care services, senior housing developments and interior design.

“I now primarily assist clients looking to purchase or sell commercial and investment property for professional use or building a personal portfolio,” she says. “As an entrepreneur and property investor myself, I understand the transaction from both a professional and personal level.”

After many years serving on RAMP’s board of directors and committees, Senko, who also meets with elected officials to advocate for the association, says she sees the value in being involved in her field. For the association’s 2025 theme, she chose working “Beyond the Contract.” “I want to inspire our members to approach their real estate business with a comprehensive perspective, as I have done over my own career and found to be so important,” she says.

As a chairperson and active volunteer of the Community Service Committee — which supports organizations such as the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, Veterans Place and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank among others — Senko says she was honored to recently receive RAMP’s Community Service Award. She also serves on the South Side Chamber of Commerce board and is particularly passionate about her work with the Women’s Center & Shelter. “Being involved in my community, giving back and uplifting our neighbors, especially those in need, have always been a top priority for my family and I,” she says.
