There’s still time to get locally grown and made items in the City of Pittsburgh, while supporting small businesses.

CitiParks’ Farmers Markets are in full swing through mid-November. These weekly offerings are your one-stop shop for farm-fresh fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses and baked goods, according to a City of Pittsburgh press release.

The events are also an opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind gift selections for the upcoming holiday season.

“Our Farmers Markets continue to provide unique shopping alternatives through the fall. As seasons change, so do the crops and fall is the perfect time to get fresh apple cider, hardy veggies, delicious pies and more,” CitiParks Director Kathryn Vargas says.

There are four markets still open through mid-November:

  • Squirrel Hill: Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Nov. 19, in the Beacon/Bartlett parking lot, 5737 Beacon St.
  • East End: Mondays from 3 to 7 p.m., through Nov. 20, in Liberty Green Park, 100 Larimer Ave., Larimer
  • Carrick: Wednesdays from 3 to 7 p.m., through Nov. 15, at the Carrick Dairy District, 1529 Brownsville Road
  • North Side: Fridays from 3-7 p.m., through Nov. 17, at Allegheny Commons Park, East Ohio Street and Cedar Avenue.

All of the markets accept credit through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and debit cards through Just Harvest’s Fresh Access program.
