Pittsburgh Steelers fans will encounter a slew of new amenities and experiences at Acrisure Stadium when they return on Sept. 22 for the Steelers first regular-season home game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Among these is the new Steel Yard, a grassy area outside of Gate A that will feature a live DJ, lawn games, photo ops and new Bud Light Backyard, where the first 300 fans, 21 and over, at each game can get a free beer.

And there’s more:

As the Terrible Towel approaches its 50th anniversary next year, the Steelers have created the Terrible Towel Wall in the FedEx Great Hall. The wall traces its history and honors its originator, Steelers broadcaster Myron Cope, who first encouraged fans to grab their yellow kitchen towels to wave and twirl during the playoff game against the Baltimore Colts in 1975. The display includes a 400-square-foot Terrible Towel, perfect for a photo op.

The Miller Lite Renegade Pub has been added in the West Main Concourse, which provides a full-service bar and large screens so patrons don’t miss any of the play.

Before heading to the game, download a new Acrisure Stadium mode that’s now part of the Steelers mobile app. It will provide info on stadium wayfinding, parking tips and details, the Clear Bag Policy and ways to win prizes.

An important change to parking: All North Shore parking will be cashless, as will the Steelers 50/50 Raffle.

To keep your phones charged, the Steelers have added ChargeFuze Stations throughout the stadium.

In addition, more walk-through markets and food vendors have been added and Stillhouse Spirits will have six locations in sections 109, 128, 137, 507, 527, 530, where four signature hometown spirits — Boyd & Blair vodka and rum, Hidden Still bourbon whiskey and Noire 74 gin — will be sold.
