The Frick Art Museum in Point Breeze will be closed for about two months this summer while a fire alarm system is replaced.
The closure runs from May 27 through Aug. 1.
All of the other attractions at the Frick Pittsburgh will be open: the “Gilded, Not Golden” tours of Clayton, the Henry Clay Frick mansion; a new sculpture display at the greenhouse beginning May 23; the Museum store and Cafe; and Car and Carriage Museum; as well as the monthly Summer Fridays at the Frick, which kick off on June 27.
The art museum’s next exhibit, “The Scandinavian Home: Landscape and Lore,” opens on Sept. 27. This will include 100 works — from landscapes to housewares — from the private collection of Pennsylvania-based art collectors David and Susan Werner.
