Meet Our Team of Bridal Seamstresses

Our team of bridal experts comprises seamstresses with over 70 years of combined bridal alterations experience. Check out some of their background information:

Lynn, Manager of the Bridal Hub @ Warrendale: Lynn is our Head Bridal Seamstress and Manager of the Bridal Hub at Warrendale. She began working professionally as a bridal seamstress in 1970 at Carlisle’s Bridal (the first bridal salon in the United States) on East Ohio Street on Pittsburgh’s north side. After that, she worked at several other bridal salons within the Pittsburgh area. In 1992, she opened her own shop in McCandless and operated a successful business until 2020. Shortly after, we were lucky enough to have Lynn come on board as our lead bridal seamstress! She is a rare talent and works tirelessly to ensure her brides are beyond happy with their wedding dress alterations.

Joy, Bridal Expert: Joy is one of our bridal seamstresses and has been with the company for over a decade. She attended Clarissa’s School of Fashion Design in Pittsburgh, PA, as part of their two-year program. She then began working as a bridal seamstress at Modern Bride in Pittsburgh and was there for over 10 years. Simultaneously, she started providing wedding dress alterations out of her home. Then, she worked as a bridal seamstress for David’s Bridal, then at Lord & Taylor, and finally, in 2014, she started working for Alterations Express at our East Liberty location!
