Meet Pops!
Meet Pops — a petite, pretty girl with a heart full of hope. At 5 years old, Pops has already lived quite a remarkable life. She first came to Animal Friends as just a puppy during the largest Humane Investigations case in our history — the Ross Dog Rescue, also known as our “C Dog Rescue,” where she was rescued from a home with 117 other dogs. Yes… 117. Even after such an overwhelming start, Pops blossomed into a sweet, sensitive soul.
She was adopted into a loving family where she spent many happy years. But when her owner sadly passed away, Pops struggled to adjust to life with extended family and eventually returned to us. Now, she’s searching for a gentle, understanding home where she can feel safe again.
Pops is a very special little lady who bonds deeply with her people. She prefers an adults-only home where things stay calm and predictable. Once she decides you’re a friend, she’ll greet you with her adorable tippy-tap toes and her whole body wiggles with joy. She loves affection, but meeting new humans can take her a little time — and that’s okay. A few meet-and-greets will help her learn you’re someone she can trust.
She would love to be the only dog in your home and prefers a cat-free lifestyle. She’s simply hoping for a place where she can be your one and only.
