Meet Hoppin’ John!
Hoppin’ John is a sweet, high-energy boy with a big heart and a nose for adventure! This handsome guy came to us as a stray and even bounced back from a back-leg injury with surgery—he’s now working on physical therapy exercises to get stronger every day. He’ll need a patient and loving owner to help him with his rehab, but the payoff is a loyal, affectionate companion who adores sniffle mats and can’t resist a little cream cheese enrichment.
Hoppin’ John would be happiest as the only pet in the home and could live with children 13 and up. He’s currently part of our SCI Fayette Training Program, living with selected inmates where he enjoys enrichment, positive reinforcement, and force-free training. Every day he’s learning manners, making friends, and preparing to hop right into his future home. Interested in this handsome guy? Fill out an application: https://ow.ly/zisO50VVXlW. All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines before being made available for adoption.
Please read our adoption guidelines and start your application before coming to meet one of our animals in person. A typical adoption can take up to an hour. Please visit at least one hour before closing if you plan to adopt that day.
