Time to jump in.

The City of Pittsburgh announced the opening of 16 city pools for the summer season — one more than last year when Ream was closed for cement and liner issues.

City pools will open on Monday, June 16.

“Thanks to the continued hard work and dedication of the CitiParks team in recruiting and hiring lifeguards for the 2025 pool season, we’re proud to open 16 pools this summer,” Mayor Ed Gainey said in a statement.

CitiParks recruited, certified and brought in more than 160 lifeguards for the 2025 pool season. That number was 145 last year.

“Their efforts ensure our communities have safe, welcoming spaces to cool off, gather, and enjoy the season,” Gainey said.

These 16 Pittsburgh pools open on June 16:

  • Ream
  • Ammon
  • Banksville
  • Bloomfield
  • Highland Park
  • Jack Stack
  • Magee
  • McBride
  • Moore
  • Ormsby
  • Phillips
  • Riverview
  • Schenley
  • Sue Murray
  • West Penn
  • Westwood

Homewood and Sheraden pools will remain closed due to park and pool renovations.

Pool hours are weather permitting and subject to change.
