Pirates Offer Home Plate Season Tickets for 30 Years — But There’s a Catch
The Pittsburgh Pirates have a lot to offer in exchange for a one-of-a-kind, autographed Paul Skenes rookie debut baseball card.
Update: The one-of-one Paul Skenes rookie card has been found, Topps announced on Jan. 21, 2025. An 11-year-old collector in Los Angeles pulled the card.
Somewhere in a pack of newly released Topps Chrome update series baseball cards, there’s a one-of-one, autographed Paul Skenes rookie card.
Most bundles are sold out, which means someone most likely has the card. Or at least, they will soon. The collection was released Nov. 13, so let’s leave some gap room for shipping. To the lucky someone that finds the card, the Pirates have an offer.
If the card-holder agrees to bring the card home to PNC Park and give it to the Pirates, they’ll receive two Pirates season tickets behind home plate for the next 30 years. At that point, the pitching phenom will be 52!
To the lucky person who finds this card… We’d love to bring this card home to PNC Park to share with all Buccos fans.

The team is also willing to throw in a softball game held at PNC Park complete with coaching from Pirates alumni. Throw in a private tour of Pirates City and LECOM Park — the team’s Florida training facilities — a meet and greet with Skenes, two autographed Skenes jerseys and a warm up session with the Bucs, it could be an offer that’s hard to refuse.
To whomever has the card, you won’t need to follow our frugal fan’s guide to PNC Park. But is the experience worth giving up something so unique? Only time will tell.
